ABOUT
This refurbished traditional home is spacious and cosy, ideal for families and large groups. Stoer is a perfect base for outdoor activities with stunning views of the sea and mountains, great fishing and beautiful white sandy beaches.
Stoer Villa is a late 19th century stone house, with a modern kitchen extension and large front and back gardens. The interior has been completely refurbished.The house comfortably accommodates eight and with the sofa bed nine is possible. All bedrooms are fitted with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. The house is centrally heated and all rooms have windows that can be opened to admit fresh air.
Whether you are looking for relaxing family orientated activities or more adventurous outdoor pursuits, Stoer is the perfect base. There is a beautiful beach less than 250 m from the front door, and two others within 3 miles. There are many easier coastal walks. The quiet single lane roads around Stoer are excellent for cycling and provide spectacular mountain and sea views. Several tour operators offer boat tours out of Lochinver, pony trekking, and various other activities. The area is popular for trout and salmon fishing and there is also excellent sea fishing. For the hard-core outdoor enthusiast, you can hike up Suilven or any of the other hills to the north and south . The coast is superb for sea kayaking and the area is well known for rock climbing. Excellent longer cycling trips can be made along the coastal roads.
OUR ROOMS
Stoer Villa can accommodate up to nine. It has four bedrooms (two twins, one double and one room with a bunk bed). The master bedroom is en suite and we have two other bathrooms. We have a well equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, hob with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and plenty cooking and baking equipment), a large dining room, a living room with flat screen TV and wood burning stove. The utility area has a dishwasher, washing machine and clothes drier, as well as an iron and other conveniences.

Directions
Stoer Villa is 7 miles north from Lochinver on the B869
From Inverness, take the A9 as far as the Tor roundabout and then take the second exit - the A835 to Ullapool. In Ullapool, immediately after the filling station take the right turn to continue out of town along the A835. Continue past Elphin to the Ledmore junction, where you turn left on to the A837. Continue on the A837, past Inchnadamph and Ardvreck Castle, until the B869 turning just before Lochinver. From Inverness the journey takes about 2 hrs.
